Badie I. Morsi
Professor Morsi is the Director of the Petroleum Engineering Program at the Swanson School of Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, USA. His research focuses on modeling and optimization of industrial processes; design and scaleup of multiphase reactors; Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) of the CO2 capture from flue gas, fuel gas, natural gas, and air using chemical or physical solvents; CO2 sequestration in geological formation; and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) using CO2. Professor Morsi has authored and co-authored numerous Journal publications (www.pitt.edu/~rapel), and along with his research group, they gave many invited talks and technical presentations at national and international meetings and leading organizations worldwide. He is the Executive Director of the Annual International Pittsburgh Energy and Carbon Management Conference (PECMC) and the Editor-in-Chief of “Fuels.”
