Hosam Saleh is a Professor of Radioactive Waste Management in the Radioisotope Department at the Atomic Energy Authority, Egypt. He was awarded an MSc and PhD in Physical Chemistry from Cairo University. Saleh has more than 27 years of experience in hazardous waste management, emphasizing treatment and developing new matrixes for immobilizing these wastes. He is also interested in studying innovative economic and environment-friendly techniques for managing hazardous and radioactive wastes. He authored many peer-reviewed scientific papers and chapters and served as an editor of several books. He has been selected among the top 2% of scientists in the world according to the Stanford University reports published by Elsevier for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
